Are you an XR practitioner or researcher with professional experience working with XR? We would love to hear from you!

We at the Research Center Trustworthy Data Science and Security, University Duisburg-Essen, are conducting a survey to understand how responsibility is understood and approached in XR practice, including current workflows and practices, challenges and barriers, and the support that XR professionals may need.

You do not need to have prior knowledge or experience with concepts such as Responsible Technology or Responsible AI to participate.

Survey Link: https://tinyurl.com/ResponsibleXR

The survey explores topics including:

  • How you understand responsibility in technology and XR?
  • The risks, harms, and concerns you associate with XR
  • How responsibility-related considerations are, or could be, incorporated into XR work
  • Organizational practices, resources, tools, and support available to XR professionals
  • Challenges, barriers, and opportunities for better supporting responsible XR

Time required: Approximately 20 minutes

Who can participate?

  • XR practitioners and researchers
  • Anyone with professional experience working with XR
  • Experience with any type of XR project, product, technology, or application is welcome

Whether responsibility is already an established part of your work, something you consider informally, or something you currently have little support or opportunity to address, your perspective is valuable to us. Your responses will help us better understand how responsibility is currently approached in XR practice and where further support may be needed.

We would be very grateful if you could participate and/or share the survey with colleagues, friends, mailing lists, or others in the XR community who may be eligible and interested.

Thank you for your time and for helping us better understand and advance responsible XR practice!

Manshul Belani with Jat Singh, Mengxing LI, and Hongyu Zhou!!
