Second Call For Papers

The conference welcomes submission of abstracts from December 22nd, 2009.

Deadline for abstract submission extended until January 22nd.

The Fourth International Conference on Cognitive Science (June 22-26th, 2010, Tomsk, Russia) opens the submission of abstracts on the conference site.

The Conference is organized by Tomsk State University, Institute of Psychology of the Russian Academy of Science, The Interregional Association for Cognitive Studies, The Interregional Public Foundation “Center for Development of Interpersonal Communications” and Russian Scientific Centre “Kurchatov Institute”.

This conference succeeds the conferences on cognitive science held in Kazan’ (2004), St. Petersburg (2006) and Moscow (2008) (see the Association’s website:

The conference aims to organize a multidisciplinary forum for scientists exploring cognition and its evolution; intellect; thinking; perception; consciousness; knowledge representation and acquisition; language as a means of cognition and communication; brain mechanisms of cognition, emotion and higher forms of behavior. Psychologists, linguists, neuroscientists, computer scientists, philosophers, anthropologists, specialists in education, artificial intelligence, neuroinformatics and cognitive ergonomics, as well as other researchers interested in interdisciplinary research on cognition are invited to participate in the conference.

The conference program will include lectures by leading experts in multidisciplinary cognitive studies. The names of the invited lecturers will be announced at the conference website.

The working languages of the Conference are English and Russian (for lectures and conference sections we shall provide all time parallel translation).

Accepted abstracts will be published by the beginning of the Conference.

Organizers of the conference provide free accommodation at the hotels of Tomsk for the participants of the conference (free accommodation for 1 presenter of a poster or an oral presentation for the term of the conference).

Free accommodation is provided for the term from June 21 (early arrival at the hotels is possible) to June 27 (12:00).

Acceptance notifications shall be reported by e-mail and published at the conference website on March 1, 2010.
