- User simulation and synthetic interaction data for adaptive and personalized systems, including validation against human behavior
- Research methods and reproducibility, including benchmarks, datasets, and challenges
Submission Types
We encourage two types of submissions, in the ACM two-column format. Reviewers will be asked to comment on whether the length is appropriate for the contribution.
- Long papers: maximum 8 pages of manuscript content, including all figures, tables, proofs, appendices, acknowledgments, and any other content. References are excluded from the 8-page limit and may occupy up to 2 additional pages, for a maximum of 10 pages in total. Long papers should report substantial contributions of lasting value. They should reflect more complex innovations or studies and provide a thorough discussion of related work. Each accepted long paper will be included in the main conference proceedings and presented in a plenary session as part of the main conference program.
- Short papers: maximum 4 pages of manuscript content, including all figures, tables, proofs, appendices, acknowledgments, and any other content. References are excluded from the 4-page limit and may occupy up to 2 additional pages, for a maximum of 6 pages in total. Short papers typically discuss novel work that is not yet mature enough for a long paper. They are not “work-in-progress” reports, but complete reports on smaller or more concise research contributions that can be described, contextualized, and evaluated within the shorter format. Novel and significant proposals may be considered for this category even if they have not yet undergone extensive experimental validation or do not have a strong theoretical foundation. Each accepted short paper will be included in the main conference proceedings and presented either orally or as a poster as part of the main conference program.
