We are excited to announce the Call for Papers for the upcoming GamiFIN 2024 Conference, which will take place from April 2 to April 5 in the winter wonderland of Ruka Ski Resort, Finland. As one of the leading academic conferences in the field of gamification, we invite researchers, scholars, and professionals to submit their contributions to GamiFIN 2024.
GamiFIN 2024 conference welcomes paper submissions, posters, and doctoral consortium applications.
IMPORTANT DATES
November 19th, 2023: Full papers and short papers submission deadline
December 21st, 2023: Notifications of acceptance/rejection sent to authors
January 11th, 2024: Submissions deadline for posters and doctoral consortium notes
January 11th, 2024: Deadline for camera-ready full and short papers
January 18th, 2024: Notification of acceptance for posters and doctoral consortium
February 18th, 2024: Registration deadline for all presenters.

Welcome to join us in Ruka, featuring incredible Finnish scenery, nature, and winter activities. We hope all of our guests take the time to enjoy the surroundings and activities provided by this unique and exotic location. Organized winter activities before and/or after the main conference days will be announced later.
GamiFIN is an international conference for gamification research. The conference is chaired by the professor of gamification Juho Hamari and co-chaired by Assistant Professors Oğuz ‘Oz’ Buruk and Nannan Xi.
The conference is organized by the Gamification Group, and past keynotes have included notable scholars from the field of Gamification, such as Lennart Nacke, Frans Mäyrä, Sebastian Deterding, Richard Landers, and T.L. Taylor. Keynotes of GamiFIN 2024 will be announced at a later date.
PROCEEDINGS, PUBLICATIONS, PRESENTATIONS & JOURNAL FAST-TRACK
Accepted full and short papers will be sent for consideration for publication in CEUR Workshop Proceedings in the GamiFIN Conference volume. CEUR-WS.org is a free open-access publication service and recognized ISSN publication series, ISSN 1613-0073. https://gamifinconference.com/proceedings/
GamiFIN 2024 offers a unique opportunity to fast-track papers to a special issue in Internet Research, ‘Ethics and Sustainability in Gaming and Persuasive Systems’ (SCOPUS cite score of 9.5 and 7.9 impact factor). Deadline for extended paper will be open until June 30, 2024. The special issue is widely and holistically interested in ethics and sustainability in and of gamification.
