ABOUT THE ROLE
This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead a trail-blazing extended reality (XR) project in collaboration with the University and our industry company partner, Gener8, on the development of Gener8 Spaces’ new Gener8 XR (G8XR) product. The post will allow a successful candidate to work in a cutting-edge area while driving Gener8’s strategic aim to improve educational attainment through immersive and touch technology.
We are looking for a creative and innovative thinker who will gain experience in both industrial requirements and work environments and firsthand knowledge on how an application can be developed, tested, and delivered. You will also benefit from specialised training and gain knowledge on research environments and culture, and work with experts from different departments of the University in different areas such as object modelling and visualisation and project management. You will have a rare opportunity to learn the latest technologies concerning extended reality and its applications in the real world, as well as acquiring an excellent set of skills in industry research and development. Alongside this, you can take the lead on a cutting-edge project showcasing your vision alongside that of the University and Gener8.

ABOUT YOU
As Extended Reality (XR) Solutions Developer (KTP Associate) you will:
- Be willing to lead the way on the development of XR applications
- Be creative and innovative.
- Be a self-starter who can work independently as well as part of a team.
- Have a drive for learning and enjoy working creatively.
- Have good skills in communication and organisation.
- Possess experience in, or a strong understanding of, computer programming, computer graphics/Computer Vision/3D Animation/AR/VR.
