We are currently looking for a new member for our research group doing all kinds of mixed / immersive / augmented / virtual reality work in Lucerne, Switzerland. Very pretty area!
While most people here speak German, this is explicitly not a requirement. We are doing a variety of projects, especially in the realm of games and HCI, so are looking for people with a background and interest in those areas.
We are happy for applications by both early-career researchers, postdocs and people with industry experience.

YOUR TASKS
- You work jointly with our lecturers and academic staff on research and development projects with a focus on novel and appropriate uses of augmented and virtual reality.
- You develop, implement and evaluate innovative concepts and solutions as AR/VR software prototypes in research and industry projects.
- You support our research team in the acquisition of new projects, take responsibility for work-packages in existing projects and independently investigate research questions within these.
- You supervise student projects and diploma theses. Participation in lecturing or further education is possible according to agreement.
YOUR PROFILE
- Curiosity and a passion for research
- Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- Research experience in industry or academia or ideally PhD
- Practical and theoretical knowledge of AR- and VR-applications
- Experience in Human-Computer Interaction, conduction of user studies and user-centered design
- Good programming skills, for example in C# or C++
- Ideally experience with modern Game Engines such as Unity
- Fluency in written and spoken English; German advantageous (or willingness to learn)
- Ability to explain complex facts and ideally experience with writing scientific texts
- Active contribution in our self-organizing research team
