Job: Assistant/Associate Professor in HCI for VR/AR/MR at Telecom ParisTech

Télécom ParisTech is recruiting for a tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor position in Human-Computer Interaction for Virtual/Augmented/Mixed Reality. Télécom ParisTech is one of the leading French higher education and research institutions in the fields of engineering and digital technology. It is located in Paris area and is part of the new Institut Polytechnique de Paris.

The post is open to candidates with a Ph.D. in Computer Science, HCI, or equivalent. The successful candidate will lead research in Human-Computer Interaction or Visualisation applied to Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, or Mixed Reality. French is not required, but a willingness to learn is a plus.

Research activities will be conducted in the DIVA (Design, Interaction, Visualisation & Applications) group of the Computer Science & Networking department (https://diva.telecom-paristech.fr). The group research activities focus on novel interaction techniques (particularly with respect to large and small-scale devices), information visualisation, digital fabrication & design, and new technologies for teaching.

The candidate will also work in collaboration with researchers and teachers in the design, psychology/ergonomics, 3D graphics, and multimedia groups of the LTCI and CNRS I3 research laboratories of Télécom ParisTech.

Teaching activities in these domains and in computer science (programming, software engineering, etc.) will take place at Télécom ParisTech and Institut Polytechnique de Paris.

The proposed contract is a full-time, permanent position (“CDI de droit public”).
