ACE has become one of the leading scientific forums for dissemination of cutting-edge research results in the area of entertainment computing. Interactive entertainment is one of the most vibrant areas of interest in modern society and is amongst the fastest growing industries in the world. ACE 2016 will bring together leading researchers and practitioners from academia and industry to present their innovative work and discuss all aspects and challenges of interactive entertainment technology, in an exciting, cultural, and stimulating environment. All ACE participants are encouraged to present work they believe will shape the future, going beyond the established paradigms, and focusing on all areas related to interactive entertainment.

ACE2016 – running under the theme “Opening up the world of entertainment computing research” – embraces diversity, challenge, and openness. As such ACE2016 is committed to stimulating cross-disciplinary exchange, to push the frontiers of computer entertainment technology, and to reach out to broader audiences. For the first time ACE will thus open its Creative Showcase exhibition to the general public which will provide researchers with an exciting opportunity to expose their research to a large and diverse audience. Moreover, ACE2016 will be co-located with Entertainment Computing EC2016, one of the largest annual symposiums in Japan to which ACE2016 attendees will have free access.
