On behalf of the Furhat team, I am very happy to invite you to attend the second edition of the International Furhat Conference series. Held virtually, this half-day conference gathers leading scientists that will showcase the latest research in social robotics, as well as innovators who will share their experiences of developing engaging robot interactions. We will also showcase some of the latest features of the new updates to the Furhat platform, and aim to inspire how social robots can be used in existing and new research cases.

The Furhat Conference agenda can be seen here. The speaker lineup includes:

  • Tony Belpaeme (Ghent University, Belgium): Social robots: the ultimate dream but also the ultimate AI challenge
  • Gérard Bailly (CNRS, France): Training social robots: the devil is in the details
  • Sinisa Strbac (Tengai Unbiased, Sweden): How social robots are redefining the recruitment process
  • Maike Paetzel-Prüsmann (University of Potsdam, Germany): Rejected at first sight? How interactions help to overcome uncanny feelings towards social robots
  • Gabriel Skantze (KTH & Furhat Robotics, Sweden): Turn-taking in human-robot interaction

Registration for the conference is free and now open.

We are looking forward to seeing you there.
