Presentations at Med-e-Tel are not only for academics. Our diverse audience and speakers include members from government, industry, professional, and special interest sectors also. Each brings a perspective and insight of value to others.

We especially encourage you to submit presentation proposals that focus on practical experiences from a clinician, care provider, patient/user, payor, or public health perspective, or that focus on research outcomes showing clinical, medical and health benefits, cost benefits, quality of life benefits!

They must NOT be promotional in nature; Descriptive reports – these could report on daily practice and experience, research in progress, policy debate, or even present ‘mini-reviews’ of important topics.
We especially encourage contributions on practical experiences and research activities providing evidence for the efficiency, effectiveness and user acceptance of telemedicine and eHealth applications, as well as presentations of successful business cases and projects. Through the presentations, the expo and the extensive networking opportunities, attendees will have unmatched possibilities to gather the latest news from leaders in the field and to establish new professional relationships.

The conference program is spread over the three days of the event. Click here for a general schedule. A more detailed schedule will become available towards early 2017.

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION

Click here for the online abstract submission form and follow the guidelines (note: text of the abstract should be limited to max. 2200 characters (incl. spaces); plain text only, no images or tables, no bullets, no references, etc.). All abstracts should be submitted using this online form. Abstract submission deadline is December 4, 2016.

PRESENTATIONS

Presentations are only in English and can be done either orally or as a poster. If you prefer to submit a poster presentation please indicate this at the end of the abstract submission form.

For oral presentations each speaker will have 10 minutes to present plus 4 minutes for Q&A. A computer (running on Windows, with Microsoft PowerPoint) will be available in the conference rooms (if you are using other presentation software, please contact the organisers). Once your abstract has been accepted, your PowerPoint presentation should be submitted by the deadline of 20 March 2017 and will be uploaded in advance onto the conference room computers (if presentations are submitted later than March 20, 2017, organisers decline any responsibility for omissions or mistakes in the uploaded presentations).

If you prefer to present your submission as a poster, please indicate so on the Abstract Submission form. It is possible that your presentation will be scheduled as a poster, even if you did not indicate a preference for a poster (depending on available oral presentation slots in the final program).
Posters are a great way to communicate about research and can foster immediate in-depth conversations. Posters will be displayed in prominent places at the conference venue and we will designate a particular time when authors can stand by their posters to discuss their research with Med-e-Tel participants.
A Best Poster Certificate will be awarded by a panel of judges. The award will be based on both content and graphic appeal of the poster.
Posters should be DIN A0 size (84,1cm wide x 118,9cm high). A printed copy of the poster should be delivered to the conference registration desk before opening of the conference, or should be sent in advance (instructions will be provided to poster presenters).

PUBLICATIONS

Accepted abstracts will be published on the Med-e-Tel website and in the Journal of the International Society for Telemedicine and eHealth (JISfTeH – www.jisfteh.org).

Papers of accepted abstracts will also be published in the JISfTeH. This requires that the short papers be received by the deadline date of January 31, 2017 and at least one of the co-authors has registered for participation at Med-e-Tel and paid the registration fee by that same deadline of January 31, 2017, and the papers meet peer review requirements of the JISfTeH.
