Job: Faculty positions at University of Connecticut

The University of Connecticut has 5 openings, three at the assistant level (interpersonal, health, and new technology) and two open positions in Health Communication to begin in August of 2012.

The Department of Communication Sciences at the University of Connecticut (http://coms.uconn.edu/) invites applications for three tenure track faculty positions at the assistant professor level. The minimum qualifications for each position include: a completed Ph.D. in Communication or related field by time of appointment; evidence of research productivity; a publication record; the ability to work in a collegial manner with a diverse faculty, staff and student population; experience teaching undergraduate courses; and the ability to teach quantitative research methods. Candidates must possess the ability to conduct research in one of the three fields outlined below; to obtain grant funding to support research; and the ability and have experience performing professional service commensurate with rank. It is preferred that candidates possess the ability to contribute through research, teaching, and/or public engagement to the diversity and excellence of the learning experience.

Interpersonal: Applicants must specialize in any of the following areas that complement their interpersonal focus: new communication technologies, organizational communication, relational communication, cross-cultural communication, gender, social media, health, emotion, or conflict.
