This is a permanent position at the School of Communication, Media and IT at Södertörn University, Stockholm (http://www.sh.se/)
Our Game Studies activities include:
- research around game design concepts and methods in a research project funded by “Östersjöstiftelsen” (http://www.ostersjostiftelsen.se/). Further research initiatives, by the new game studies senior lecturer are encouraged and appriciated.
- short courses in game developement and game worlds
- planning of a candidate (Bachelor) program in game design and game studies that will start in August 2011.
- a game lab/studio, in which game design workshops can be held, games can be studied as well as empirical studies of console gaming and LAN gaming performed.
- developement of a game library in collaboration with the campus library.
