Call for Unpublished Work for Meta-Analysis on Human-like Chatbot Characteristics
https://sosci.iwm-tuebingen.de/callforunpublishedwork/
Submission deadline: September 15, 2023
Dear colleagues,
As part of my dissertation project, I am currently conducting a meta-analysis on the impact of human-like characteristics of text-based chatbots on user-related outcomes. Human-like characteristics refer to verbal (e.g., conversational style), visual (e.g., human-like picture), or chronemic (e.g., dynamic response times) social cues. User-related outcomes include variables that refer to users’ attitudes, perceptions, positive or negative affect, the user-chatbot relationship, trust, or user behavior.
Specifically, I want to answer the following research questions:
(1) What is the overall effect of human-like chatbot characteristics on user-related outcomes?
(2) What factors moderate the effects of human-like chatbot characteristics on user-related outcomes?
I am looking for unpublished or published work to include in the meta-analysis. If you have unpublished or published manuscripts, conference papers, theses, or data that tackle the project’s research questions and that you would make accessible for me feel free to contact me via e-mail (s.klein@iwm-tuebingen.de) or fill out this form: https://sosci.iwm-tuebingen.de/callforunpublishedwork/
This link also contains more information about the study and the requirements for your work.
I would be very happy to include your work in my analyses. If you are unsure whether your work is a good fit, please do not hesitate to contact me, and we will look at it together.
The request will close on September 15, 2023.
Thank you for your time and consideration!
Best regards,
Stefanie Klein
