ABOUT THE ROLE

As part of ongoing recruitment to the Games Development Department we are looking to recruit a lecturer or senior lecturer in Immersive Technologies. We are looking to recruit enthusiastic new colleagues to join our dynamic, future-focused, and rapidly expanding subject community.

We are particularly interested to hear from candidates with experience in video games research. Within this community you will have the opportunity to grow, both academically and artistically while working with a team of dedicated games professionals. This will include mentorship, research support, and guidance towards achieving HEA fellowship.

The department is part of the wider School of Digital, Technologies and Arts. The school is a highly interdisciplinary environment, bringing together areas as diverse as fine art, fashion, computing, engineering, media, theatre, and various aspects of games production. We are looking for experienced candidates who have demonstrable excellent subject knowledge in a number of areas but ideally including one of more of the following:

  • Unreal and Unity Scripting
  • Immersive Technologies
  • Virtual Worlds
  • Virtual Reality
  • Augmented Reality
  • Mixed and Extended Reality
  • Development of Serious Games and the use of Simulation in training.
