Michigan State University
East Lansing, Michigan
https://moralmedia.org/annual-meeting/

Submission deadline for abstracts: August 15, 2022

We are excited to announce the sixth meeting of the Moral Media working group. This year’s #moralmedia22 agenda features a combination of research presentations and breakout discussion sessions with the goal of sharing ideas and fostering concrete opportunities for collaboration across disciplines (e.g., psychology, film and media studies, communication, philosophy, aesthetics). Researchers working in the area of media and morality (broadly defined) are encouraged to attend.

Support for #moralmedia22 is generously provided by Templeton Religion Trust and Michigan State University.

Research abstract submissions for the 2022 Moral Media Meeting are now open. All submissions will be evaluated by the conference organizers. Submissions should focus on interdisciplinary, empirical, or theoretical research investigating linkages between media and moral understanding, broadly construed. We invite any scholars, quantitative or qualitative, interested in morality as represented in media and/or media’s role in shaping moral understanding and reasoning to participate in what we anticipate will be a rich, interdisciplinary conversation on these topics. Solely theoretical or methodological submissions will also be considered. Abstracts are limited to 400 words, excluding references, tables, and figures. Abstracts may be accepted as either poster or panel presentations.

Please submit abstracts, in .docx format, to info@moralmedia.org no later than August 15, 2022. Decision notifications will be sent by August 19, 2022.
