In celebration of its 25th anniversary, TCC 2020@25 will feature a Day in the Life of TCC with continuous plenary sessions throughout 24 hours on Wednesday. Tuesday and Thursday will feature usual participant presentations. Additionally, a commemorative pre-conference symposium held on-site at the University of Hawaii at Manoa (March 17-18) will be delivered online to interested parties.

TCC Hawaii invites faculty, support professionals, librarians, counselors, student affairs professionals, graduate students, administrators, and consultants interested in learning technologies to submit proposals for papers and general sessions presentations.

THEME

Learning technologies continue to influence how we learn, create and share. Online tools transform communication, networking, and collaboration. Learning today is global, life-long, ubiquitous, and irrespective of time and place. Technology enables educators to provide immersive and compelling experiences to learners of all ages.

The conference staff encourages presentations that highlight current practices and research about trending topics in educational technology such as digital literacy, learning spaces, online learning, mobile learning, collaboration, emerging technologies, and sustainability. Retrospection and projections about the art and science of 21st-century learning technologies in the next decade are also appreciated.

PROPOSALS

This conference accepts proposals in two formats: papers and general sessions.

Papers are SUBMITTED IN FULL and subjected to a double-blind peer review. Papers that do not meet submission requirements will be returned to the primary author. Accepted papers will be published in the conference proceedings. Papers may be considered for publication in the International Journal for Educational Media and Technology (IJEMT). General sessions may be conducted in various ways including a forum, discussion, roundtable, panel, or pre-conference activity. These proposals will be peer-reviewed prior to acceptance. (See (https://tcchawaii.org/presentations/general-sessions/)

Proposals that involve student presenters are highly encouraged. Fees for student presenters will be waived. Student presentations may be grouped together and scheduled later in the day. (See https://tcchawaii.org/presentations/student-sessions/)

Acceptances will be conveyed to the primary author or presenter by email.

The submission deadline for all proposals is December 20, 2019. Papers are submitted IN FULL and will be accepted through December 30, 2019.

PRESENTER RESPONSIBILITIES

Presenters are expected to:

  • Participate in a pre-conference orientation session.
  • Use a headset with a microphone during the presentation.
  • Maintain timely communications with the conference staff.
  • Conduct an informal, interactive online session related to your proposal.
  • Upload a photo, a brief professional bio, and related presentation materials.
  • Respond to questions and comments from participants during the entire conference.

REGISTRATION

All presenters are required to register online and pay the online conference fee ($99 USD; $129 USD after March 31) or register as a group member. Contact us for group rates (one fee for all participants from a single campus or system).

VENUE

Participate in this event entirely ONLINE. We deliver all sessions in real-time. A broadband connection is necessary. All sessions will be live and interactive. Sessions are recorded for later viewing.
