Call: Big Issues in Immersive Virtual Worlds workshop

Registration and abstract submission is now open for our third National Workshop on Immersive Worlds event hosted by the Learning Innovation Group at Coventry University. The Big Issues in Immersive Virtual Worlds workshop is being held on November 4 2010 at the Techno Centre, Coventry University Technology Park.

Submission deadline: September 3rd

The themes of the day are as follows:

Research and issues with –

  • Space
  • Identity and embodiment
  • Learning design(s)
  • Evaluations
  • Impact of innovation on student learning

This event will provide opportunities for discussion, collaboration and interaction on the topic of issues in learning in immersive virtual worlds. It is a free one day event with refreshments and lunch provided, presentations from virtual world practitioners and live streaming into Second Life. Due to such a high volume of interest previously, we have had to limit spaces available this year and will run on a first come, first served basis.
