The 19th IEEE International Symposium on Robot and Human Interactive Communication will be held in Viareggio, Italy at “Principe di Piemonte” Congress Center. The theme of the conference is

Thinking and acting together: Cognitive and cooperative interaction between human and robots

PAPERS

Prospective authors should submit their papers electronically in PDF format. Six pages in the standard IEEE format are allowed for each paper, including figures. A maximum of 2 additional pages is permitted at extra charge. Each paper can be accompanied by a short (3-4 minute) video. Detailed instructions for paper submission via PaperPlaza are available at www.ro-man2010.org.

SPECIAL SESSIONS

Special sessions on advanced topics and innovative applications will be considered, consisting of four to six related papers submitted through the regular review process. Prospective organizers should include a brief statement of purpose for the sessions as well as the abstracts of the papers to be included.

WORKSHOPS AND TUTORIALS

Proposals for half-day or full-day tutorials and workshops on topics relevant to the conference are envised.

DEMONSTRATIONS

There could be space to host interactive demonstrations at the conference site. Gold sponsors will be allowed to bring demos.

  • March 8: Notification of acceptance for Special Session, Workshop or Tutorials
  • March 12: Submission of full-length paper and / or video EXTENDED
  • April 1:  Submission of Special Session papers
  • June 11: Notification of acceptance of submitted papers
  • July 12: Submission of camera-ready final papers
