Artificial Intelligence (AI) is revolutionizing preventive healthcare by enabling proactive, personalized, and engaging health management. Through interactive AI systems—leveraging wearables, ambient sensing, and adaptive interfaces—individuals can receive real-time insights that encourage healthier behaviors and reduce healthcare burdens. However, ensuring engagement, trust, and ethical integrity remains crucial. This workshop at EICS 2025 aims to advance knowledge in designing interactive AI for preventive health, identify best practices for personalization and ethics, and foster interdisciplinary collaboration across HCI, AI, healthcare, and behavioral sciences.

TOPICS

We invite researchers, practitioners, and industry experts to contribute to discussions on the following key topics:

  • Proactive Interaction for Health Monitoring (wearables, ambient sensing)
  • Adaptive AI Interfaces for Personalized Preventive Care (real-time behavior adaptation)
  • Enhancing Health Engagement through Interactive Gamification (AI-driven motivation)
  • Multisensory Interaction in AI-Driven Health Applications (haptics, audio, visual)
  • Collaborative and Socially Interactive Health AI (peer support, team-based AI)
  • Ethical Considerations in Interactive AI Health Systems (privacy, trust, transparency)
  • Evaluating User Engagement in AI-Based Health Interventions (metrics, case studies)
  • Other related topics

GOALS

This workshop aims to:

  • Advance knowledge in designing interactive AI for preventive health.
  • Identify best practices for engagement, personalization, and ethical considerations in AI-driven health systems.
  • Foster interdisciplinary collaboration between HCI, AI, healthcare, and behavioral science researchers.

IMPORTANT DATES

  • Submission deadline: May 3rd, 2025
  • Notification of acceptance: May 24th, 2025
  • Final version-ready: Friday, May 31st, 2025

  • Workshop day: Tuesday, June 24th, 2025

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

We invite the submission of position papers (4-8 pages) in English, written in PDF format using the ACM Master Article Submission Templates (single-column format: Springer Lecture Notes in Computer Science proceedings).

Submission Portal: https://easychair.org/

Submissions will be reviewed based on relevance, academic rigor, creativity, innovation, and applicability. The workshop papers will be published in a Springer LNCS book series proceeding.

Accepted position papers will be available two weeks before the workshop to facilitate discussions among participants.

At least one author per accepted position paper must register for the conference.

EXPECTED OUTCOMES

This workshop will be held in interactive format, ensuring active discussions and engagement. Each accepted paper will feature a brief presentation, followed by grouped discussion themes that explore challenges, solutions, and future research directions (15 min each 10min presentation and 5 min questions).

Participants will engage in:

  • Keynote talks from AI-health experts.
  • Panel discussions on ethical and interactive AI challenges.
  • Engaging debates & storytelling exercises with researchers and citizens.
