Meta-Analysis on Virtual Reality & Environmental Persuasion: Request for Gray Literature
From Sai Datta Mikkilineni, The University of Alabama, smikkilineni@crimson.ua.edu
Dear NCA Community,
We are conducting a meta-analysis on the persuasive effects of virtual reality (VR) in environmental, climate, and nature-related contexts. Our aim is to better understand how immersive VR experiences shape attitudes, emotions, knowledge, and behaviors related to environmental issues.
As part of this project, we are seeking gray literature. If you have any unpublished manuscripts, conference papers, dissertations, preprints, or data from experimental studies that report on the effects of VR on any of the persuasive outcomes, I would be very grateful if you could share them with me.
Eligible studies should involve VR (e.g., 360° video, immersive VR, desktop VR) as the intervention medium.
We define “environment” broadly, including any aspect of the natural world (e.g., forests, marine life, wildlife). The study may include any type of persuasive measure (e.g., attitudes, behavioral intentions, emotional responses, nature connectedness, etc).
Please feel free to send the manuscripts to smikkilineni@crimson.ua.edu
I appreciate your time and consideration. If you know of colleagues who may have relevant work, I would be grateful if you could pass this along.
