Submission deadline: July 9, 2021

SCOPE

One of the aims of building multimodal user interfaces is to make the interaction between user and system as natural as possible in a situation as natural as possible. The most natural form of interaction can be considered how we interact with other humans. While the analysis of human-human communication has resulted in many insights, transferring these to human-machine interactions remains challenging. The automated analysis of the interaction has to consider both semantic and affective aspects, including personality, mood, or intentions of the user, anticipating the counterpart. These processes have to be performed in real-time in order for the system to respond without delays, in a natural environment.… read more. “Call: 5th International Workshop on Multimodal Analyses enabling Artificial Agents in Human-Machine Interaction (MA3HMI 2021)”

MOTIVATION

For robots to successfully interact with their environment and carry out tasks, egocentric vision emerges as a natural solution in Robotics, mostly for robots such as mobile ones. However, despite its theoretical and practical implications, egocentric perception rarely receives the attention it deserves. Furthermore, there are different perspectives of egocentric vision depending on which agent wears the visual sensors. In particular, cameras can be attached to both robots and people, and this view has also been often ignored, and the different communities (Robotics, Visual lifelogging, etc.)… read more. “Call: 1st Workshop on Egocentric Vision for Interactive Perception, Learning, and Control (EgoVIP2021)”
