Giant Photoshop eraser sticks to London streets

Two creatives behind the ‘street eraser‘ blog are merging the digital world with the analog, sticking their adobe-inspired art throughout London’s urban fabric. The giant playful labels illustrate the familiar grey and white checkerboard pattern, visible when using the eraser tool in Photoshop. Eliminating graffitti from traffic signs, color from mailboxes and portions of billboards, the intervention seemingly reveals a concealed world beneath our own. The team says of the digital tool interrupting everyday surroundings, “we rather like the idea that it’s hiding under the surface of everything around us.”

ISPR News: 2014 conference thank yous and award winners

Great thanks to the many people who made the ISPR 2014 conference in Vienna such a success, especially the Conference Chairs Anna Felnhofer and Oswald D. Kothgassner. It was another wonderfully productive, interesting and very enjoyable Presence conference (watch ISPR Presence News for announcements about the next conference as well as other ISPR developments).

The official conference Proceedings are available now in book form from Amazon and Facultas and will be available via links to Adobe Acrobat (.pdf) files containing each paper on the ISPR web site beginning this September (they’re listed there now).

We had three categories of awards at the conference: Best Presentation and Best Poster award winners were determined by secret ballot votes by those who attended the conference. Best Paper award winners were determined by the Program Committee members via a two-step process prior to the conference: The review form included the option to recommend the submission be considered for a top paper award; the Committee members then voted on the rank of all the nominated submissions.… read more. “ISPR News: 2014 conference thank yous and award winners”
