The workshop aims at discussing philosophical issues in post-cognitivist cognitive science, especially recent approaches such as embodied cognition, the extended mind and socially distributed cognition.

Call for Posters & Prize for Best Student Poster
Deadline for submission: February 4, 2011
Notification of acceptance: February 15, 2011
We welcome poster submissions, especially by graduate and undergraduate students. Topics can include, but are not limited to: the notion of embodiment, sensorimotor representations, the extended mind thesis, socially distributed cognition, the state of the art in cognitive science, embodied artificial intelligence, or the value of the computationalist approach.
With the generous support of the Cognitive Science Society, the best student poster will receive a prize of 250 US-$ and a one-year membership in the Cognitive Science Society. By submitting your poster to the workshop and certifying that you are a student, you will automatically be considered for the award. A committee of the invited speakers and selected participants in the symposia will determine the winner.”
Researchers interested in submitting a poster presentation should send an anonymized abstract of no more than 1.000 words to saray.ayala@uab.es, in .doc or .pdf format, including, in the body of the email, author’s name, institutional affiliation and e-mail address. Abstracts will be blindly reviewed by experts designated by the organizing committee.
