RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, N.C. – As 3D, virtual reality and web technology continue to evolve and as Internet speeds climb ever faster at home, at work and through wireless, a new Internet beckons – The “Immersive Internet.”

Internationally published and recognized expert in all things 3D, Dr. Tony O’Driscoll will discuss and demonstrate the potential of the Immersive Internet at Local Tech Wire’s Executive Exchange event on July 28.

O’Driscoll, a professor at Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business, and co-author of “Learning in 3D,” is a former executive at IBM and at Nortel.
The program will begin at 11:30 with registration and networking followed by lunch.
O’Driscoll will then lead attendees through an overview of what the Immersive Internet is and the opportunities it offers as well as a demonstration. A question-and-answer session will follow. The registration fee is $25.
