The Department of Computer & Information Sciences & Engineering (CISE) in the Herbert Wertheim College of Engineering (HWCOE) at the University of Florida invites applications for multiple nine-month academic, tenure-track positions at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor with interests in research and teaching in all areas of computer and information science and engineering; areas of particular interest include Cybersercuity, Virtual Reality and Artificial Intelligence or Machine Learning.

The Department of CISE in the HWCOE at the University of Florida is a vibrant, multidisciplinary highly-collaborative environment, consistently ranked among the top departments for both graduate and undergraduate programs. Research is central to the success of the program; and new faculty will be expected to initiate and sustain strong sponsored research and graduate training programs.

The successful candidate is expected to have a doctoral degree in computer and information science and engineering or a related field (required at the time of hiring). In addition, the candidate should have a record of successful proposal writing, mentoring, and classroom teaching of undergraduate and graduate students.

The search is expected to be open and will continue to receive applications until the positions are filled. Application review will begin immediately. We anticipate at least two positions will initially be filled, with possible additional ones.
